Local schools hit the trail
Three local schools to Creswell Crags, Creswell Junior School and after school club, Whitwell Primary School and Hodthorpe Primary School, are helping to create an interactive bronze rubbing trail around the Creswell gorge and the caves. A selection of designs made by the children with the help of artist Charlie Downs, through art workshops, will be used as templates to be cast in bronze. The trail will be an activity trail for visitors who will be able to collect images from the last 120,000 years of history at the Crags.

The story so far….

First we visited Creswell Crags to get some ideas for our designs. Ian and John showed us around the Crags and we actually went into Robin Hood Cave where Neanderthals camped 50,000 years ago... Next
