The
Trust runs projects that help to manage the site of
Creswell Crags, develop the tourism potential of Creswell
Crags and the Heritage Area, develop the interpretation
of the site, and act as consultancy advice for interpretive
projects within the Heritage Area. See the current
projects.
The
Trust also encourages and helps co-ordinate research
into the archaeology and environment of the Ice Age
at Creswell Crags and throughout the Heritage Area.
The Trust is particularly keen to make sure that scientific
research is properly published and accessible to visitors.
The
Trust does not itself carry out archaeological excavations
or major research projects but seeks support from
Universities and other professional and research bodies
to manage such projects.
