John
Scott, Visitor Operations and Project Manager
John's relationship with Creswell Heritage Trust began in
1991, joining the then very small team as a Ranger. In this
role, John has developed a wealth of experience within the
areas of environmental and heritage interpretation, education
and visitor services, leading him to undertake a Heritage
Studies Postgraduate Diploma at Nottingham Trent University
in 1998.
John has developed particular interest and skills in the
area of Community Heritage. Heading up the Heritage Trust's
'Pride of Place' project team John has had great success
exploring and shaping the practical role that heritage can
play within regeneration, community/youth services, education/skills
development and tourism. John is also currently providing
support for the Director, assisting with the co-ordination
of the Trust's various projects and activities. Outside
work, John lists his interests as contemporary art, mountain
biking and tinkering with old houses, old boats and old
cars.

Oliver
Brown, Events and Communications Officer
Ol graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2002 with
a BSc in Artificial Intelligence. He worked in many very
different places, including doing conservation work in the
middle of the African savanna, until 2004 when he joined
the Creswell Crags team. He first joined the team as a Warden,
then became a Seasonal Interpretive Heritage Officer, and
is now our Rock Art Events and Communications Officer. He
is jointly responsible for the visitor services and education
team so a lot of his time is spent with schools or public
groups, guiding tours, storytelling, etc. The rest of his
time is spent promoting the site and the rock art and developing
and helping to run events and activities on and off site.
