- October: Every weekend and daily during most school holidays.
November - January: Sundays only.
Discover what Creswell Crags was like during the last Ice Age
on a tour of Robin Hood Cave, the largest cave on site. Find out
who was here, what was here, why they were here and how we know.
Booking recommended.
Tour charges: Adult £4.75, Concession £4.25, Child
£3.00, Family offer - £2.00 off the price of an adult
ticket when accompanied by 2 or more children.

Art Tours
March
- September: Every day that Ice Age Tours run.
Your chance to see the only known Ice Age rock art in Britain.
The tour will start with a brief talk about the art and the site
and then you will be taken to Church Hole Cave, home of the world
famous art.

Tour charges: Adult £6.00, Concession £5.50, Child
£3.00, Family offer - £2.00 off the price of an adult
ticket when accompanied by 2 or more children.

For
your safety please wear flat shoes, boots or trainers. Hard hats
and lights will be provided at the beginning of your tour. Due
to the nature of the cave interiors we would recommend that groups
with under fives and people who have mobility concerns seek advice
when booking.

Storytelling Weekend
2nd and 3rd February
Storytellers have been travelling to Creswell Crags and passing
on their tales for thousands of years. Be part of this ancient
tradition and join us for a magical weekend.

and Galleries Month: 'Innovation'

What's new in prehistory? A month long exploration of what's hot
from the last Ice Age. Get ready to be amazed by the gizmos and
gadgets from one of the most amazing times of change in human
history.

Join us for a huge celebration of all thing archaeological, we've
gathered together special guests and exciting activities that
will bring you bang up to date with the past.

11th - 14th September
This September we will be giving you a glimpse into the future
of Creswell Crags. You have the opportunity to take a tour of
our brand new Museum and Education Centre, prior to its opening
later in the year. Plus discover the work behind the scenes of
the current museum. We will tidy up first, honest.

October Half-Term
Creswell Crags is home to Britain's oldest known art. So there
no better place to visit and gain inspirations for the creative
artist in you, take part in free art activities, and try out different
techniques every day.

Santa takes a day out of his busy Advent schedule to visit us
here at the Crags. Come and take part in the festive fun and make
your Christmas wish.

Want to make an Ice Age mask, create pictures from leaf prints
or paint a giant mammoth? Different activities will be taking
place throughout school holidays, and they're all free! Call in
advance to find out what's on.
Shakespeare
in the Meadow 2008
Last year's open-air performances were a great success. This summer
Crags Meadow will once more showcase some of the great bard's
most popular plays.
Also
this year we have a special afternoon performance of the classic
Sleeping Beauty, which will be perfect for families with younger
children.
