Incident at Creswell Crags Visitor Centre

Unfortunately this morning there was a small, contained fire at Creswell Crags Museum and Education Centre. No-one was harmed and all our collections remain safe. At this point in time we are still unsure of the cause of the fire though we suspect it may have been an electrical fault. Cave tours and the Easter trail ran as usual and will continue to run over the Easter weekend. The centre will be open with the exception of the exhibition. We have been particularly busy this weekend, please do book ahead for cave tours on 01909 720378.

We strongly recommend visitors to ring ahead and book their tours to avoid disappointment.
