Creswell Heritage Trust is pleased to announce that it has been successful in two important funding bids.
Creswell Crags has been awarded £140,200 from Arts Council England's Museum Resilience Fund. Over the next year and a half, we will use this to build up our volunteer structure, for developing our fundraising, income generation and staff development. These developments will help make the charity more sustainable for the future, supporting its work creating opportunities for more people to engage with the area’s cultural heritage.
Peter Knott, Area Director for ACE, said 'This latest investment from our Museum Resilience Fund is about helping our region’s museums become more sustainable businesses so their rich collections can be used and enjoyed for many years to come'.
The Crags has also been successful in the public vote for the Tesco Bags of Help scheme 'Pathways to the Past', which means that there will be £10,000 of improvements to the public car park and pathways across the Crags Meadow this autumn.
