Rock Art Tours
This is your chance to see Britain's only known Rock Art, which was discovered by archaeologists in 2003. The tour will take you to Church Hole Cave to view the world famous engravings, carved in to the walls and ceiling of the cave about 13,000 years ago by Britain's first artists.
Tour running times
March - September: Every weekend and daily during Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire school holidays.
October - February: We are unable to run Rock Art tours during these months as there is a protected roost of bats within Church Hole.
Booking highly recommended.
Tour charges:
Adult £8.00
Concession £7.00
Child £6.00
Family offer - Reductions apply to groups with more than one child. Please telephone or ask at Reception for details.
Essential Tour Information
For your safety please wear flat shoes, boots or trainers. Hard hats and lights will be provided at the beginning of your tour. Due to the nature of the cave interiors we would recommend that groups with under fives and people who have mobility concerns seek advice when booking.
Photography is permitted on the tours so bring a camera.
