The Imagination Museum(27th July)
Dance performances in Robin Hood's Cave
27th July 2014
The Imagination Museum Award-winning contemporary dance company Made By Katie Green present a special adaptation of The Imagination Museum for the Robin Hood Cave. Allow us to introduce you to Mildred, Henry and Harriet, three eccentric tour-guides who will bring to life a series of historical artefacts through words and movement. Watch the professional dancers perform by torchlight and be transported back to the time of the last Ice Age. The Imagination Museum has been created in collaboration with writer Anna Selby, with original music by Max Perryment. It is aimed at children and families. The 'Dancing in Museums project' is being supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, Lincolnshire County Council, Fund NK and Derbyshire County Council.
Performances begin at 12, 2 and 3.30pm (meet in the Visitor Centre)
Tickets cost £5 (£3 children) and can be booked by calling 01909 720378
There will also be two dance workshops in the Creswell Crags Education Room on the 27th July at 12.45pm and 2.45pm. Join award-winning dance company Made By Katie Green for a fun 45 minute creative dance workshop, drawing inspiration from artefacts that have been found at Creswell Crags. These workshops are free, and are aimed at 6-11 year olds (no previous dance experience required). For more information, please visit http://www.madebykatiegreen.co.uk/museums
