Notes by Wilfrid Jackson on a post card describing totals of excavated bone, age unknown.
The notes by Wilfrid Jackson, on the rear of this post card, give totals of bones excavated from three major palaeontological cave sites in Derbyshire. Of the three sites listed, Pin Hole, is by far the richest. This total most probably represents the bones excavated by A.L. Armstrong between 1924 and 1936 which are now stored in The Manchester Museum.. Jackson, who used to be a keeper at The Manchester Museum, identified most of the fauna excavated by Armstrong. This total gives some idea of how rich these sites were.
