Photograph of A.L. Armstrong and G.A.Garfitt excavating between Pin Hole and Dog Hole, taken before 1925.
Photograph published in 1925 of A.L. Armstrong and G.A. Garfitt. The picture shows them excavating a trial hole near the foot of the cliff between the caves of Pin Hole and Dog Hole at Creswell Crags. There are no other records of this excavation and since it was not followed up by further fieldwork we have to assume that they did not find any palaeontological or archaeological material.
