Limestone Journeys
Your Landscape Partnership
Limestone Journeys is an exciting new five year programme of activity which focuses on the unique landscape and heritage of the North East Derbyshire Magnesian Limestone area (2011-2015).
The Limestone Journeys Partners are working on a range of exciting projects with communities, landowners and local groups to conserve the landscape, wildlife and rich heritage of the area and encourage communities to learn about, enjoy and celebrate their local area.

Limestone Journeys has been successful in securing £1.9 million of Heritage Lottery Funding, the total funding for the project bringing £2.9 million of heritage investment to the scheme area (the Parishes of Ault Hucknall, Barlborough, Belph, Clowne, Elmton, Glapwell, Hodthorpe, Old Bolsover Town, Pleasley, Scarcliffe, Shirebrook).
