While we are in this part of the cave, imagine we're siting with a group of Neanderthal people around a fire. Can you hear the sound of a woman working with flint while children watch what she is doing and try to copy her. A man on the opposite side of the chamber gestures to the group. What would they have been talking about?

This is definitely not Ice Age graffiti scratched into the cave wall. Can you see any clues as to when this was written?

The remains of the cave earth

The remains of the cave earth
Have a look at this. The red sand here is what remains of the cave earth which once filled the chamber. It makes me wonder what discoveries there are still to be made in these caves.
