This year we are doing things a little differently at the Crags; every Saturday Santa will be out and about checking on his workshop in the morning, and disappearing to his winter hideaway inside one of our caves in the afternoon.

Santa's Little Helpers' Workshop

Saturday 29th November, Saturday 6th, Saturday 13th and Saturday 20th December
10.15am and 11.45am

We’re inviting all the good boys and girls to Santa’s Little Helpers’ workshop to enjoy some festive stories and get creative by making a souvenir craft to take home.

Santa himself will be coming round to see how his little helpers are getting on and to give out gifts to all the children taking part. There will be a chance for each family to have a photo taken with the man himself too.

The workshop sessions are perfect for children aged 4 and upwards (under 4s are very welcome, but they will need some help with the craft from their responsible grown-ups!).

Each session will last approximately 1 hour and include time for a story, craft making and receiving a gift from Santa.

£10 per child

Santa's Winter Hideaway

Saturday 29th November, Saturday 6th, Saturday 13th and Saturday 20th December
2pm

Journey into our largest cave and meet Santa in his Ice Age hideaway! Santa’s helpful elves will take you on a walk through the gorge to find out where Santa has hidden himself away at the Crags. They’ll tell you festive tales and stories of the Ice Age along the way and lead you into Robin Hood cave where you’ll meet the man himself!

Once you’ve found Santa in the deepest part of the cave, your family will get to spend some time with the man himself, and every child will be given a gift.

This event is not suitable for under 5s, due to health and safety restrictions of the cave. Please only book this session if your child is old enough.

Accessing the cave involves steps, uneven surfaces, and low ceilings, so please get in touch before booking if you are concerned about you or your child accessing the cave.

Abominable Snowman

Sunday 30th November, Sunday 7th , Sunday 14th and Sunday 21st December
10.30am and 2pm

In the cold days of the Ice Age, long before Santa, what did Stone Age people think lived in the dark depths of the caves during winter? Join our Stone Age guide this Christmas to venture into our deepest darkest cave to hear tales of winters long ago, take part in an interactive cave experience, and meet our mysterious (but friendly!) Abominable Snowman - he may even have a magical gift for each child!
