Outreach

Adults on a cave tour

We offer both half day and full day school outreach sessions, covering a range of topics including Archaeology, Palaeontology, evolution and fossils for Key Stages 1-2. These sessions are ideal for schools that cannot make it to our site, or for those sessions such as Evolution that don’t need to be covered in a cave setting. The sessions include:

  • ‘Excavation Stations’- Become an Archaeologist and learn the tricks of the trade to uncover hidden Stone Age artefacts.
  • ‘Palaeontology Puzzle’- Focusing on the animal remains of the Stone Age, build the skeletons to reveal the predators of the past.
  • ‘Curious Curators’- Create your own exhibition of objects with drawings and labels.
