Join us in Mother Grundy's Parlour for an hour of enchanting stories
Children aged 5 – 11 will be led on a journey through story and picture books with our resident Stone Age storyteller, Simon, in the wonderful cave of Mother Grundy’s Parlour.
In this brightly lit, wide cave, there will be stories about mammoths and hunters, and an opportunity to enjoy some new and classic books too!
This will be a time to sit and listen to stories from the Stone Age – both factual and fantastical! It’s a great way to light the spark of imagination for children visiting this amazing place.
Sessions run at 12pm & 2pm, and last for approximately an hour.
This is a FREE event for local children (living in S80 4** postcode areas), and £3 per child living outside this area, with parents/carers welcome to accompany them for free (please note that while we do require at least one adult to accompany each child/group of children attending, spaces for adults are limited to one per child).
Important note: Mother Grundy’s Parlour cave is located in our gorge, about 5 minutes’ walk from the Visitor Centre, and up a number of steps. If you or your child have any mobility/access requirements you would like to discuss, please call us on 01909 720378.
Spaces are limited, so please either book online here, or by phoning us on 01909 720378. Places may be available on the day, but we advise booking an advance to ensure your child can take part.
