Creswell Crags Café

After a long day’s hunting in the gorge you’ll be needing your hunger satisfied. Our Café offers a wide variety of seasonal fayre and we try to use locally sourced products wherever possible.

Whether you want a coffee to kick-start your day, or a filling sandwich after the experience of a cave tour, Crags Edge Café is the perfect place.

Please note: the café closes 30 minutes before the centre, dependent on customer numbers on site.

The café is situated at the sunny side of the museum. It features a picture window on two sides and a long, open terrace overlooking the tree canopy and lush natural landscape.

Our café offers family friendly food with a delicious range of freshly baked scones and delicious cakes. We also provide a wide selection of hot and cold drinks.

FAQs

Can I visit the café without paying to park?

If you park in our car park, you must pay to park. If you park elsewhere and walk onto site, you are still welcome to come into the Visitor Centre and use the café.

Can we bring a picnic?

Yes, you are welcome to bring a picnic and eat it in our outdoor areas. Please do not consume your picnic inside our building, or on our dedicated café seating.

As we are a registered charity, and every purchase supports us, please consider buying a hot or cold drink from our café to go with your picnic. We also sell picnic blankets.

Will the café in the Visitor Centre be the only place to purchase food and drink?

At the moment all our food and drink is available to purchase from the cafe. However, during the summer you'll be able to purchase drinks and snacks from our horsebox outlet located on the meadow.

Are dogs allowed in the cafe?

If you're visiting with your pooch, please feel free to use our outdoor seating. Please do not bring your dog into the visitor centre or cafe. A dog water bowl is available on the upper seating terrace, and our cafe sells dog-friendly ice cream for a refreshing treat on warm days!
