By Car

Creswell Crags Museum and Visitor Centre is on the border of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire and close to South Yorkshire. We are 5 miles from the M1 motorway (exit 30) and within easy travelling distance of Nottingham, Sheffield and Doncaster. Follow brown tourist signs on the A60 Mansfield to Worksop road or the A616 Sheffield to Newark Road. We are also convenient for visitors to Sherwood Forest and the Peak District.

Train

Creswell Crags is about a mile walk from the local railway station of Creswell. The Robin Hood line stops at Creswell about once an hour. Please note, the Sunday service is limited. On exiting the station, turn left onto Elmton Road. At the junction turn right and at the mini-roundabout turn left. Then bear right towards Crags Cottages to walk up through the beautiful gorge and avoid the main road.

Bus

The Stagecoach number 77 bus route runs between Worksop to Chesterfield and drops off on Elmton Road in Creswell. Walk along Elmton Road in the direction of the old school buildings and at the junction turn right. Turn left at the mini-roundabout and bear right up past Crags Cottages to walk up through the beautiful gorge for 1 mile and avoid the main road.

The Stagecoach number 209 bus route runs between Worksop to Edwinstowe and drops off on Mansfield Road A60 at Nursery Lodge. Walk along the public footpath beside the lodge away from the road in the direction of Creswell Crags for 0.4 mile. Please note this footpath may be muddy in wet weather.
